Camilla Staerk at Brittique.com

For S/S 2008, Camilla Staerk has created a collection that has been largely inspired by old-time Japan and their traditional ways of dressing. Voluminous silhouettes and origami folds with twisted details feature throughout the collection. The combination of natural fabrics such as silks, cottons and leathers are modernised by the injection of Japanese chintz for a reflective contrast. Classic black is softened with subtle peach skin tones, with the essence of gold and teal to add richness and intensity.
