welcome to my kingdom
my dear
sweets
A Flower Faerie

i created part one of my flower faeries the other day, they are all representing the various colours of my soul. my faeries all live in the kingdom of sweets as inspired by the sugar plum faerie character  in the nutcracker ballet. it was such a lovely day at the kew gardens in richmond here in london.

An Alice Solantania Saga Monday Full of Cakes, Cats & Flowers

such a monday

the day started with my morning walk & podcasts. i have so many back to back episodes as created by mr triumph:) today i listened to an interview with our  (swedish) former prime minister fredrik reinfeldt & the wonder laleh!!! also captured my dream house (again) with my sx-70 polaroid camera. then home it was to braid my hair then put on some violette clothing before rushing off to central london. i was in dear need of techie apple people, i dread this store but it went SO smoothly and the boy who helped me was fantastic. i also captured beauty in green park & st.james. too ran in to this little market which sells homemade/ baked thingies:)  liberty also happened as was as many bookstores i could find since i am in need of inspirational ballet poses that i can use for my flower of the faeries series.
&
when coming back home this cat was waiting for me to devour her.

Meet The Devouring Tulip

 devour everything
&
be drunk
always

on wine, poetry & virtue

yesterday while creating my morning walk in the woods of dulwich, i listened to filip & fredrik illuminating the world podcast. they were talking about this new pod that is created by one of sweden's most respected actors, mikael persbrandt (also being the sexiest man ever). of course i subscribed immediately to it, it is called "i am". such a beautiful pod cast. it is full of poetry, music and his thoughts on a journey where he is to find out if he is bi-polar, and if he is, to get the tools to handle his life a tiny bit better.

he read this poem

i think a lot of people can relate to this!
to disappear from reality
at all times

(sorry for all my non swede readers)

empathetic people - dreamers & idealists - have this sort of accidental power. most spend their early years ridden with self-doubt, insecurity, and people pleasing habits. but their journey is inevitably derailed when this comfortable life gets uprooted by an unexpected darkness. suddenly their trusted methods no longer seem to bring them happiness. at first this depression convinces them that they might never feel joyful again. but ultimately, it sets them a quest for something more - for love, justice and wisdom. once this adventure begins, there is no stopping a dreamer. and when dreamers unite? well, that's how we start to change the world.

Diary 270: A Magic Cherry Blossom Garden Party Weekend

i am devouring beauty at the moment. it feeds my whole existence. one year ago i started my first self-portrait project, the cherry blossom girl! now i am capturing these amazingly beautiful flowers with my polaroid camera, sort of like a side project to the former.....or maybe it should belong to my fairy pagan poetry tales of london project:)? we'll see!

a weekend of mine!

my friday could have, to put it mildly,  been better! but then saturday came and i had a garden party to attend:) i have a new wonderful friend, his name is john and he had invited me. we are neighbours! he helped me out in an emergency situation a couple of weeks ago and am very grateful for that situation to have happened, since it gave me a new friend:) to be with his family and some good friends of his was the best time i have had in ages. so much fun! so much laughter coming from me:) real laughter! so much wine & so much amazing foods that john had cooked himself. sunday i spent creating beautiful images of spring & thinking of where my flower faeries could be shot:)

spring heaven!

dream with the dreamers and invent
things you never knew you had in you.
think with the thinkers and discover
ideas that mold who you are. smile at
strangers and make friends that last
a life time. laugh with friends and
let those memories burn through your
heart. travel with travelers and
explore a life beyond your imagination.
love only one, and grow old with your
best friend. let these things bring
fire to your soul. so when you look
back at your life, you'll have no
regrets. and you can leave this place,
better then when you found it.

today i went to central london to get some polaroid film & to get some trimmings to create bows for my hair, one colour for each faerie. then i went straight to the swedish church where i ran in to this lovely girl, åsa whom is the editor of the church magazine. i might contribute soon:) prepped this blog post over there while devouring swedish gossip magazines!!! now = sitting at this lovely pub in marylebone, the royal oak!

i had an amazing day devouring chelsea! i came to capture my future to be house, violette:) with my sx-70 polaroid camera. ended up capturing so much more beauty!!!

all day though, i was thinking about what on earth makes me special???!!! what made me devour various things as a child, how & why did that made me come alive & where is that today? to thrive in our world now, that desire & passion is what i have to tune in to. i need to be authentic to myself so that i can perform what god (or if you wanna call it the universe) created me for:) so that i can become of service to us all.

tomorrow a new chapter begins for me. and i mean that literally!

A Little Sugar Plum Faerie Day

happy wednesday marvellous readers

today = amazing
our warmest day of the year i'd say:) i have a tiny fever going on so i am taking it easy. lately i've been listening to endless podcasts! one of those being the perfection umistakeable creative, this morning's episode had a wonderful guest, dave vanderveen. the unmistakeable creative always ends the interview with the same question:

what makes someone unmistakeable?

to be authentic to what they were made to be

i am to be authentic to who i was created to be
because there is only one
&
the result?
 = violette brilliance

at the moment i am fine tuning my faeries of the flower project & i think i have it:)) my flower faeries will portray the various colours of the soul. this idea came together when i was listening to my fave swedish band, kent! the wonderful song "pärlor" which has this line to it: vilken färg har själen älskling? which basically means, what is the colour of the soul darling? i am too hugely inspired by the nutcracker ballet :) and the sugar plum faerie. so i started with   cecily mary parker's wonderful flower faerie illustrations & now these faeries are to be mine. with all the colours of my soul!

i am off to plan my next series of self portraits. it's to be the fairies of the flowers, not sure yet how to do them since i don't want it to be just me in a pretty dress among pretty flowers. i need to find the angle of the story. i am starting with the sugar plum fairy since this would involve my fave color in this world, violette:)

what are you planning on creating?

The Child Bride

Isabella Plantation

photography & concept by me

this is just a tiny taste from my self portrait shoot yesterday which was inspired by child brides! in particular the song & video by cocoroise called the child bride.

the image above was the first i liked while scrolling through what i'd created & so went straight to post processing that one. will go through all my ca 50 other images later on when i have slept on them for a little while.

now i am to focus on my next project a tiny bit! so loads more location scouting and shoots since the spring & summer are here for devouring in my family.

two perfection people

to make
living itself
an art,
that is the
goal.

i am an excitable person who only understands life
lyrically, musically, in whom feelings are much stronger
as reason. i am so thirsty for the marvellous that only
the marvellous has power over me.
anything i can not transform into something
marvellous, i let go. reality does not impress me.
i only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when
ordinary life shackles me, i escape, one way or another.
no more walls.

A Child Bride Friday in Richmond

Isabella Plantation and richmond
happy friday beautiful people

london has had (and have) 19 sunshine degrees! it's been my day of creating the child bride. my lovely little doll behaved all day;0)!!! a treasure in london is the isabella plantation which is located inside the park of richmond, this is where my location today was, among green's and violette's. i was giving away my child to get married to a man my own age. a huge source of inspiration for this tale, which is true in so many parts of the world, was/ is cocorosie's song the child bride (see & listen to it below), both lyrically & visually.

my images (clockwise from top left):

1 my location:) such perfection beauty right? isabella plantation right now! 2 me (in a sunshine dress from beyond retro) with all the things needed to create today 3 afterwards i went to this lovely pub called the white swan:) here i've spent loads time drawing in the past but too been on dates believe it or not. 4 me & my still nameless little doll that was my child bride today; checking that i got what i wanted.

i love richmond!
that park with the treasures of the isabella plantation = magic

my inspirational source:

about 10 minutes before my shoot, this is the song i listened to on my iphone. to get into my character. i am both her and her mother giving her away. there is so many feelings here. but i think sadness is the overwhelming one, why am i not needed? why are you so happy being without me? why don't you miss me?

i wash my body.
hope not too lonely.

this is my wedding night.

A Location Scouting Minnie Mouse Wednesday

smack;0)!!!

i've been location scouting all day in richmond & i now have my child bride location! a fairy dream place. i am to create my whole faeries of the flowers series here:) the magic place is called the isabella plantation!

i always endowed madness
with a sacred, poetic value,
a mystical value. it seemed
to me to be a denial of
ordinary life, an effort to
transcend it, expand, to go
far before the limitations of
the human condition.
