Jil Sander by Dear Nike.

s/s 08
Compared to the minimalism designers Calvin Klein and Helmut Lang the chief designer Raf Simons at Jil sander has taking the simplicity in clothes to a higher level.
The minimalism in the 90s was nothing like Simons's design, Today the energy and sharp cuts in the clothes distinguish Jil Sander as it never did before. Over the past seasons his androgynous creations has become something more.
The latest spring/summer 08 collection he seems so loosen up a bit and puted some more femininity in the clothes.

New shapes and new colors were shown but in true Raf Simons spirit. He had also looked into the Japanese origami handicraft culture and played with transparency in his design. There are never things that distract the eye but always something that impress me, thats why Raf Simon is so good at minimalism. Hopefully he keeps Jil Sander in motion for a while and develops the design more as he did with the latest spring collection.
