A HEAVENLY FEAST FOR THE MAGIC OF OPULENCE

hi lovely you!

how are you doing?
wherever you are i hope the sun is shining on your face.
and if you are in the shadows i pray for you.

today is the day when christ went back to heaven after having risen to life after death, 40 days prior. the feast of the ascension. the lockdown because of this sadness virus did include the whole of easter. an easter that symbolises
RE-BIRTH.
i hope and strive for a re-birth of me myself and for all of life. to start anew, to start practicing ahimsa for all of life. to only use what is essential, kindness to animals, animals as equals. to share resources to all of humanity and not only to a few. to see our mother earth as a gift we have received, a place we have been blessed to call our home.
to marvel of the wonder of the universe.
to marvel of all the creativity we humans were gifted. the gratefulness of this moment in time when it is easier than every to be in lockdown because of technology that we humans as birthed in to this world.
to acknowledge sadly that health is a privilege in our moment in time, it should be available for all. then all of us have the possibility  to make the good choices as we were given by god for our planet and others. as of now we have created a universe where a lot of people have no idea about the "good choices" or could have the energy to do the right thing since it's a daily awful struggle of surviving.

i have so many thoughts! i try to focus on hope and the goodness of us human beings.

during this time of being by myself since march 21st 2020 i have focused on creation. to do my art. to immerse myself as much as i possibly can with all i love, all that gifts me joy and fulfilment. it has been a lot of struggles but there has too been a lot of joys. the sun and early summer heat here in england has certainly been a helper in that.

nourish the moment
to seek beauty

this is what i need for myself. many years ago when i lived in new york and worked for the new york times magazine, deeply depressed and was struggling with an ocuring eating disorder since i was 12 years old, this wise doctor told me to go out and seek beauty, to be out in nature to seek out art that i loved to forget the little me and see something bigger that ultimately would bring awe and wonder to my life.  so many more layers here though (this will be to talk about at maybe another time)!

how i medicate myself is:
to seek beauty. to nourish my moments.
to feed my brain as patti smith would put it.

i am joy
i have grace
i am creation magic beauty
- alice

you know what i am dreaming of for my life?
to live in my pink house surrounded by beauty. space, peace, quiet. to grow my own food. space for dancing creating. to share beauty and to gift awe to our universe. to be that god within me that i am. to experience life to its fullest, to be immersed in joy and for others to feel and experience the same.

it's been a month since i greeted you last.
let's see what has happened here in epping.

let's have a feast of re-birth.
celebrations.

A SISTERLY FULL MOON CELEBRATION RITUAL AS GUIDED BY AN ALICE

i have been so inspired by our conversation
in regards to live ones life in conjunction with the divine feminine
 moon
this full moon that we were to devour this past weekend coincided with easter and the resurrection of jesus christ.
the full moon
nourishment and celebration of what works in ones life
while releasing what is not working.
this together with starting ones own resurrection, to live my future magic life now = such possibilities, such hopes of golden potential for us.

jenny ( a wonderfully talented artist just fyi)
sent me a couple of links to start reading up on all this.
if you wanna read them too, you can here and here:)

a few days ago i too found out that i won a photography competition, that of london's school of photography:) i feel so blessed and grateful.

easter weekend has been such a sunshine summery thing:)🌸 the weather together with the most important weekend of all year has been wonderful. so much to step into. so much to devour.

each morning there has been podcasts of course on my walks,
but most importantly i am almost finished with emily brontë's wuthering heights book. again the language of these women...tomorrow i am to finish it sadly,
but luckily i have another jane austen book waiting for me:)))
thanks goodness for audible to let me read books while walking:)

i am too soon to start shooting still life portraits in my little place, since my dear helen came to help me cut up some plywood i have had in my flat for months, such a relief that this cutting is done:))) helen...how i adore thee let me count the ways💜
now i only need to paint my backdrops and then start creating beautiful set ups that i can shoot with various lenses.

on another note
🌸🌸🌸
i have played with this self-portrait today.
it was created among the beauty of richmond's kew gardens spring of 2015.
i did not intend to call it this,
since it was part of my faeries of the flower self-portrait series

but for now and with this manipulation of photoshop and picmonkey,
 i call it:

a full moon sister celebration ritual
 as guided by alice saga

this was the first day of no stockings for 2019:)))
wearing a cynthia steffe top
zara dress
and a marc jacobs hair pin

one thing for may:
i might wear make up on more days than creation days😉
here i am in a vintage tulip dress
&
chloe glasses
 devouring a summery spring day
listening to someone i adore, krista tippett
 (and her on being podcast💕💕💕)

this outfit is to embed a character, not sure whom but maybe a nun of sorts.

the marie antoinette inspired shoes are made by iris corolla.

i want to leave you with a wonderful poem i found
by
i think it was read in one of the podcasts i subscribe to

unconditional

willing to experience aloneness,
i discover connection everywhere;
turning to face my fear,
i meet the warrior who lives within;
opening to my loss,
i gain the embrace of the universe;
surrendering into emptiness,
i find fullness without end.

each condition i flee from pursues me,
each condition i welcome transforms me
and becomes itself transformed
into its radiant jewel-like essence.
i bow to the one who made it so,
who has crafted this master game;
to play it is purest delight;
to honor its from - true devotion

each condition i welcome transform me
opening to my loss
the universe embraces me
i bow

i wish you a magical rest of our week
see you next week:)))

I AM YET TO SEE YOU MY LOVELY DEAR

happy tuesday to you wonderful readers:)

i hope you are having a lovely week of our easter of 2019.
i have been low and sad for a few days or so,
but today i had a wonderful couple of hours with
one of my best friends and it was so healing.
so healing.

worked on this image yesterday from last june of 2018,
experimenting with all kinds of photoshop things.

i see you in my dreams my lovely dear
in a realm i am yet to discover
please dear god in the heavens let me...

alice saga
this whole series was an homage to a tony that had helped me through very difficult times and whom died suddenly. on his funeral doves were set free.
so i created this self-portrait setting my tony free to beauty and to another realm of reality that i am not presently a part of.

tried a few colour variations

i have not met this dear friend of mine for about 4 years since she first moved to sweden and soon after that to italy. i have missed seeing this spirit.
she is a wonderfully talented artist and we have collaborated a few times:)
oh dear jenny, how i love thee, let me count the ways.
how i wish one day that we are in the same city
(preferably same neighbourhood in the forest),
 living our dream lives.
she is such an inspiration,
a vegan organically living creature
with a dear compassion for mother earth
and our moon and stars.
to live in gratitude to our planet, for being born into this.
to grow together in the same direction even when so far away from each other
 =
special magic

dear readers i can not explain how much love i feel today.
grateful and happy to have such a friend to be so connected to.

jenny made me (kidding, i am always the "illegal" one), there was a spider plant in the coffee shop we went to (where i now will go back to before my ballet classes since there americano with oat milk is sublime, ty in the seven dials) and it had a baby so i took it to grow in my own little flat. it's a very healing plant for the home. and it does create babies really easily so i don't feel guilty. i will treat this baby with all my might.

the shoot below was one of my first shoots
and
jenny created faeries all around my model
so adorable
we also created an alice in wonderland story together that i styled and she fully illustrated.
it is still a piece of work i adore.

as you know i am now 100% vegan
these chocolate truffles
i went to planet organic on tottenham court road,
 before seeing jenny

they are to go (maybe)
with a dress i will soon show you, i put it up on my instagram stories, long gone now though!
we'll see, i have so many ideas. just waiting for warmer spring weather which actually is happening right this moment🌸🌸🌸

i have captured some beauty in epping recently💕💕💕💜

slowly minute by minute i am exploring my piano💜

for my life here,
i am hoping to attract lovely artists,
(and other kindness human beings)
 planet conscious vegan kindness peers.
please root for me!?
i soo wanna have friends that sees me as i am.

i wish you an adorable week
one filled with mindfulness bliss and joys

with love

NOURISH THE MOMENT 💜💜💜

#nourishthemoment

it's the title of a new poem i am working on💜💕💜😊

is it not beautiful:)!?
i mean the concept of nourishing every single moment of our days, to choose joy to choose hope to choose to see beauty & kindness.

i've had a few weeks of taking some time off from blogging, just some time for summer and to re-arrange re-consider my home & my habits.

too long long nature walks in epping forest with lovely podcasts and books. reading book 1 of terry pratchett's discworld (after having read the series of the witches living in this world of magic i was hooked), and it is fantastical wonderfully imaginative. the names of the creatures are such a joy, the carachters (well... the main ones anyways) are adorably quirky.

this image is part of my
gardeness
self-portrait series
it's taken inside richmond park and its isabella plantation, a wonderful "curated" wild kind of huge garden filled with exotic flowers and trees from all over the world, they have a beautiful nursery in the back as taken care of by a richard  whose been working there for over 50 years💜

our little market on mondays sold these wonders a couple of weeks ago💛
the beauty of the
daisy raindrop flower💕💕💕

bunny love:)))
worked on this one with picmonkey to add some adornments:)))
i wish i could show you the babies, but they run away so fast!!!

had fun with an app called afterlight, where one can mix up images like one can do double exposures with film cameras. i love it!!!

she has more color now💜
😊😊😊

here's a mixed media piece where the main focus is an image transfer from a fashion story i photographed and styled for crash magazine (used to be there fashion editor for a few years) about 3-4 years ago, i called it "child in time".

behind the scenes
