I have a Goya period. It started the other day when Susie (as in Style Bubble, A WONDERFUL blogg) wrote about Goya. A little while me myself wrote about him a tiny bit. Mario Sorrenti shot, you could say an Homage to Goya, a fashion story with Goya's paintings as direction.
The more I look at his work. I am ASTONISHED. Of course he has done a lot of Portraits of upper class people in its day with beautifully made clothes. But aside from that he is very inte the weird (weird as in what is "not" considered normal and he makes it even weirder and this is what i LOVE when photographers shoot the weird to make US aware that it DOES EXIST and in some way that makes it more normal, I mean what is normal anyways??), the Godly AND GETTING OLD. Also issues of fidelity, loyalty and other issues we all have when we come into different stages in life. But his work is always beautifully done with colors that pop out of the painting.
