Today I am a little tired but my friend Bodil sent me this page full of John Bauer's paintings/illustrations and I felt like a CHILD again. Reading the books of Elsa Beskow with his fantasy mind.
The princess is his big LOVE of his life, the girl in these pictures is really his future to be wife which he turned out to marry and they were truly in love. But over time the relationship SADLY turned complicated and often very sad.
