A Talk With dear kukula!!!

Alice: Who are you?

Kukula: I'm a painter...I was born in Israel and moved to California 3 yeas ago so I could be with my sweet heart.

A: I feel like 5 years pretty often, why do you think that is? I mean that a lot of us grown ups, still feel like kids?

K: I think the need to go back to our childhood to find our real personality.

A: is this world scary?

K: I'm not sure...I am sure it's evil, but it's so easy to get a way from evilness if you really want to. I know about some sick twisted things that makes me hate the world sometimes and I am a very scary cat person. I don't like to risk my life in any sort of way.

A: what inspires you?

K: memories, love, books, dolls, fashion music, poetry.

A: what do you love?

K: my husband. he was so sportive with my art. with out him I probably would have work as an insurance sells lady now.

A: That is what i loong for myself. hope to find that one soon. such a romantic.

A: you have someone special in your life?

not every one? I think I'm a lucky person. I have every thing I need, I guess this is special...

A: yes, right?? agree with you.

A: color?

K: I don't have a favorite one, but I don't like yellow.

A: music?

K: every kind if its good. I listen to my ipod a lot on shuffle. it's really funny, one moment you listen to Brahms and the second to Madona

A: hihi.

A: what did take you to the specific type of girl you paint? I mean she is A wonder. AND she is totally yours. Not matter, what haircolor, type of eye,' she is yours. How was the way to this? I know. Big question.

K: yes big one ^_^
well, I always had somewhere in my head a goal to discover my own personal way to express the beauty in females/girls. I was inspired buy many artist, like Mark Ryden or Junko Mizuno, even Holly hobbie. but the thing that really helped me was time. lots of time to sit at home with no green card, watching TV and dewing endlessly. my girls still change, I believe they'll always will.

A: how do you view life? In the big world. What/ why does it all matter?

K: every artist wishes people to see his work, that why he is an artist. I'm still not really famous but at the moment I feel like I get everything I ever wished for. I get to show in great galleries and people like my work and buy it. I would never think it was possible...I can get bigger and I hope I will, but now I feel like I'm very pleased and wouldn't mind to stay this way for a long time. it's very important for an artist to get famous and loved because art is a form of communication and it's important to reach as many viewers as possible, it's the basic duty of an artist

A: what does your name, mean?

K: character from a cartoon that I liked when I was 5.

A: ohhhh. love that.

A: your art, what does it mean to you? What do you want to express? And how do you want someone like me to view it? Should I think about something specific?

K: no, not specific at all...art is not a riddle, for me it is an emotion. I think it's should say what ever it say to each individual. when I go the museum I never read anything, it's ruing all the fun. I sometimes think what I would do if I couldn't paint and that scares me. but then I remember that when I was younger I did lots of things and I was good at them, but I choose art. I guess it was meant to be my whole life.

A: I am sooo happy you said that, since i myself loves to just view and feeeeeel. Sometimes i force myself to read at museums but then it gets to be like a job. And i just want to feel love and beauty.

Dear Kukula!!! Thank you for your time. You will go far.

w/ love alice and lindha
