Amanda Seyfried grew up in Pennsylvania, started her career modeling at the age of 11. She landed her first contract role as Lucinda Marie 'Lucy' Montgomery on "As the World Turns" in 2000. She appeared in her second contract role as Joni Stafford on "All My Children" in 2002.
When she costarred along side Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams in "Mean Girls", her career started to boom. She plays Karen Smith, a ditzy but beautiful and popular girl in school who is classified as "one of the dumbest people you will ever meet."
She too had a recurring role as Lilly Kane on the series "Veronica Mars," playing Veronica's best friend who was mysteriously killed at the beginning of the series.
After that she also starred in the independent films "Nine Lives" (alongside Glenn Close, Holly Hunter and Sissy Spacek), "American Gun," where she stars opposite Donald Sutherland, and the film "Alpha Dogs," A film about a kidnapping that takes place over a drug debt. Amanda plays the role of Julie with costars Justin Timberlake, Sharon Stone and Emile Hirsh.
She is our future star I believe. One who can stand next to icon Meryl Streep and hold its own in the movie Mamma Mia.
